The Future Awaits – 2023 Section 7 Basketball Event
The LEO Foundation is thrilled to partner again this year with the Arizona Basketball Association and BHHS Legacy Foundation to host the Section 7 basketball event from June 15th through the 25th. What an action-packed event that hosts 400 high school teams from 12 states for 800 games. It’s the biggest stage for high school teams to play in front of over 700 college coaches.
Over $24M in scholarships are offered to nearly 10,000 high school students, and 2,000 basketballs will be given during the Legacy Hoops for Health Program launch. The basketballs have a QR code that will connect youth to free dental services.
Financial Solutions Donates Barrett Jackson Car Auction Proceeds for Scholarships
Look at this beauty, a 1956 Convertible Ford Thunderbird. At the Barrett Jackson auction, this car sold for $30k, and the proceeds were donated to the LEO Foundation to benefit students without financial means to pursue higher education! That’s $30k in scholarships! We thank our amazing and generous donors and board of directors, Jeff and Lori Lakes, owners of Financial Solutions, who donated this car. Their dedication to our community and helping young adults achieve their dreams is truly inspiring!
Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Center
“It takes a village to raise a child” is an old proverb that means an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. And we could not agree more! That’s why at LEO Foundation, we work with and support other amazing organizations knowing that real impact comes from community collaboration to promote and nurture young aspiring musicians.
